Clinic for Neonatology
At the Neonatology Clinic at Zollikerberg Hospital, we offer comprehensive care and a range of additional services for premature and sick newborn babies and their parents. These additional services are aimed specifically at children with private or semi-private supplementary insurance.
Services for privately insured children
Nursing care for your child
If possible, your child will be cared for by an experienced carer (FH/HF) who will look after a maximum of two children at the same time (1:2 care).
Medical care for your child
Your child will be treated directly and exclusively by the head physician or their deputy.
Room comfort
Depending on availability, we offer you the special service of free overnight accommodation in your parents' room.
Catering
As parents, you will receive a voucher for lunch and dinner worth CHF 70 per day. You can redeem these in our Giardino cafeteria (11.00 to 14.00 / 17.00 to 19.30) or in the Neumünster Park restaurant (11.30 to 13.30).
Car park
You can park your vehicle in our own car park free of charge and directly on our premises.
Offers for children with semi-private insurance
Nursing care for your child
Your child will be cared for by a fully qualified nurse (FH/HF) or a healthcare specialist (FaGe), whereby care is limited to a maximum of two children at a time (1:2 care).
Medical care for your child
Medical care is provided by a senior physician.
Room comfort
Depending on availability, you can stay in a parents' room at half price.
Catering
As a parent, you will receive a voucher worth CHF 35 for lunch or dinner every day. These can be redeemed in our Giardino cafeteria (11.00 to 14.00 / 17.00 to 19.30) or in the Neumünster Park restaurant (11.30 to 13.30).
Car park
Our underground car park is available to you at a reduced weekly rate of CHF 35.
Instruction for parents by our physiotherapists
Our physiotherapists are there to support you and your child. As part of "parent handling", they will teach you how to hold, carry, move and support your child in the best possible way. This guidance not only promotes your child's physical development, but also helps you to use ergonomically correct techniques to avoid back pain or other complaints yourself. This practice supports healthy development and provides you with the necessary knowledge and confidence in handling your newborn.
Privately insured children
Our physiotherapists are available to you and your child at any time for "parent handling". In the "Carrying aids consultation" we show you how to use carrying aids (e.g. slings or baby carriers) safely and ergonomically correctly.
Children with semi-private insurance
Our physiotherapists are available to you and your child at any time for "parent handling".
