We have redesigned our previous ultrasound course on pre-eclampsia screening and now offer "Ultrasound Plus". On this course day, you can expect two independent modules with optimised content that can be attended independently of each other. Ultrasound Plus enables you to expand your expertise in a targeted manner - medically, communicatively or in a combination of both modules - and thus offers maximum flexibility for your individual further training. Please note: The combined booking of both modules is reserved exclusively for doctors.

Module 1 - Morning

This tried-and-tested course module focuses on evidence-based screening in pregnancy with an emphasis on pre-eclampsia screening and early organ screening. Practical applications, live ultrasound and hands-on training round off the programme.

Module 2 - Afternoon

A new addition to the programme is the module "Communicative competence in pregnancy ultrasound", which teaches the key principles of professional communication and counselling in sensitive prenatal situations. This module is aimed not only at medical specialists, but also at junior doctors and other interested professionals.

This practical course provides the latest scientific information on pre-eclampsia screening and early organ screening. Specialist lectures, live demonstrations and hands-on training will provide doctors and medical assistants with in-depth knowledge and practical confidence for everyday clinical practice. The focus is on evidence-based screening, practical ultrasound diagnostics, quality criteria and interprofessional dialogue. Case studies, practical exercises in small groups and tips from experienced experts round off the programme.

This course module focuses on professional, empathetic and situation-appropriate communication in the context of pregnancy ultrasound. Participants will deepen their knowledge of the central principles of communication and counselling, learn about psychological aspects of doctor-patient consultations and reflect on the particular challenges of prenatal counselling. Using case studies, group discussions and practical input, strategies for risk counselling, decision-making and dealing with difficult conversational situations are developed and directly transferred to everyday clinical practice.
