Clinic for Surgery

Our specialists recognise and treat symptomatic hernias of the groin region, abdominal wall, diaphragm, surgical scars and rectus diastases (abdominal wall weakness). Treatments are carried out using the most modern methods and are predominantly minimally invasive.

Hernias are a very common condition in adults. Almost everyone has heard of a hernia, for example. Hernias are congenital or acquired soft tissue hernias that can occur in various parts of the abdomen. The most common are inguinal and umbilical hernias. The aim of our mostly minimally invasive treatment is to completely repair the affected area. For gentle stabilisation, meshes are usually inserted which remain inside the body. Hernia surgery at Zollikerberg Hospital is quality-assured by the non-profit organisation Herniamed.
