Nephrological sonography covers a broad spectrum of modern ultrasound examinations for the clarification and monitoring of kidney diseases and their accompanying findings.
We carry out the following sonographic examinations depending on the issue at hand
- Abdominal sonography to assess the abdominal organs
- Renal sonography for structural assessment of the kidneys
- Residual urine sonography to determine bladder emptying
- Duplex sonography of the renal arteries to assess the renal blood flow
- Shunt duplex sonography to check dialysis shunts in patients on haemodialysis
