We are available for emergency dialysis around the clock, 365 days a year.

Our experienced nursing staff will look after and accompany you with great empathy during your regular visit to the dialysis centre. Each patient is also assigned a personal carer as part of our reference care system. One dialysis nurse looks after a maximum of five patients at our centre. She is supported by one nursing assistant per patient shift so that she can respond to your individual needs.

A doctor is always present during dialysis. The medical ward round takes place every dialysis day. The ward round by the senior doctor takes place once a week. Regular laboratory checks are carried out as part of the dialysis treatments. This means that adjustments can be made to the dialysis regime or drug therapy for each treatment according to the current situation.

In the event of complications, you will continue to be cared for by your nephrologist in charge, even if an inpatient stay is necessary.

Close interdisciplinary co-operation with the specialists at our hospital is important to us. We work closely with radiology, vascular surgery, cardiology, diabetology, psychology, infectiology, hospital hygiene, the outpatient wound clinic and nutritional counselling. Thanks to the in-house infectiologist and specially trained hygiene specialists, we also treat patients with infectious diseases.

We also provide acute nephrological care including haemodialysis in the in-house intensive care unit. In addition to medical treatment, our nursing staff offer aromatherapy care.

We offer you the choice of suitable dialysis days and times within the scope of our free capacity of treatment places. We are flexible when it comes to appointment requests of any kind and endeavour to find individual solutions.

If you are travelling by car, free parking is available directly in front of the dialysis unit.

Thanks to our cooperation with a taxi company, you can be driven directly to and from the dialysis treatment centre. This service is also available to patients in wheelchairs. You benefit from in-house fare conditions. We will also be happy to help you find a suitable transport solution.

Our entire premises are barrier-free and smoke-free. You will receive a drink and a croissant with every treatment.

WLAN, radio and television are available to you during dialysis. A leg trainer is available for exercise during dialysis treatment. It is also possible to make use of the counselling service. We are regularly visited by volunteers who are available for chats and distraction.

Our team of doctors and nurses speaks German, English, Italian, Spanish, French and Portuguese.

In some cases, therapies can be organised during dialysis or directly before or after dialysis. This allows you to avoid additional time and unnecessary travelling.

We work closely with outpatient care services as well as retirement and nursing homes.

In haemodialysis, the blood is passed through a filter to remove toxins and excess fluid. This requires a suitable dialysis access, for example a dialysis shunt or a dialysis catheter. Dialysis treatments usually take place three times a week and last several hours each time. They take place on our dialysis ward.

For haemodialysis, we work together with the company Fresenius. We use the Fresenius 6008 dialysis machine, which includes conventional haemodialysis and haemofiltration. Various additional modules on the machine allow us to customise dialysis treatment according to the patient's needs.

This is an opportunity for patients to take on more personal responsibility. The dialysis machine is prepared independently, the treatment parameters are set and, if necessary, self-puncture is performed.

In peritoneal dialysis, toxins and excess fluid are removed using a flushing solution in the abdominal cavity, which is introduced via a catheter.

This type of dialysis is carried out by patients independently or with the support of relatives at home. We will be happy to advise you on the necessary requirements, support you in adapting your home infrastructure and provide intensive training and regular home visits. As a result, you remain more independent and only need to visit us for check-ups at longer intervals. We also work together with Fresenius in this area.
