The speciality of ear, nose and throat medicine (ENT) includes the care of all head and neck structures, with the exception of the brain and eyes. We work together with external specialists in this specialist area.
ENT doctors examine the hearing, balance, sense of smell and sense of taste. They have a range of medications at their disposal to treat these conditions. However, surgical methods are used for hearing loss, snoring or nasal polyps. Microsurgery and other new technical aids make it possible to replace altered ossicles with implants or to reconstruct a perforated eardrum.
